The Scala opera house and its Museum: a point of reference for opera enthusiasts. The Teatro alla Scala Museum was founded in 1913. Just likethe opera house, it was restored a few years ago and reopened in 2004with a new display by Pier Luigi Pizzi. The Teatro alla Scala Museum tellsthe life of the opera house through a vast collection of musicinstruments, portraits, busts and documents dedicated to the greatest musicians, from Giuseppe Verdi to Arturo Toscanini. Visitors can also admire the auditorium from boxes and have the possibility to get toknow the backstage machinery during the preparation of a show. OPERA SEASON: all year around (no August)
