Departure to Vicenza (km. 50) and visit of the historical city centre: visiting the Vicenza area is like coming to know Palladio, the only architect that gave his name to a style that had influence even on the other side of the ocean. Lunch In the afternoon visit Villa Valmarana "La Rotonda" Built in the 1570's for the prelate Paolo Almerico, the most famous invention of Palladio - is an original example of villa of the prelate. Bassano del Grappa represents one of the most precious jewels of Vicenza’s province, a city that has been able to wisely unite respect for traditions with modern entrepreneurial activity. Bassano is symbolized by the illustrious “Ponte degli Alpini” (Alpine military force bridge). Lunch Proceeding to Asolo (km 15), a small village in a beautiful landscape among the hills: visiting Maggiore fountain; Loggia della Ragione and City Museum; Cathedral, Castle of Queen Cornaro and Duse Theatre . In the morning city sightseeing: you will feel the heartbeat of Venezia and visit Basilica San Marco with the facade mosaics, the Horses of Saint Mark, the Tetrarchs, etc. Afternoon at disposal for personal visits and shopping. In the evening we suggest a guided walking tour in the unknown part of Venice visiting the oldest and most famous "osterie" (taverns) in town. 2 stops for a wine tasting.
Transfer with motorboat to the islands Murano (glassblowing) and Torcello. Alternatively we can consider two mostly unknown island, off the beaten touristic path: San Francesco del Deserto (Franciscan convent) or San Lazzaro degli Armeni (Armenian mekhitarist convent). Late afternoon a romantic “promenade” by gondola that will take you along the canals of Venice.
Watertaxi transfer from hotel to Venice harbour, transfer by private coach to Fusina to board Battelli del Brenta cruise. The excursion is one of high historical, cultural and artistic value. Along the Canal we can admire more than fifty villas, once summer residences of Venetian nobility. Along the way, Il Burchiello stops at three of the most important mansions: Villa Pisani, Barchessa Valmarana and Villa Foscari "Malcontenta". Overnight in Padua.
After breakfast, we leave to Milan. Arrival, check in at the hotel, lunch and departure to a 3-hour city tour in Milan, one of the most famous and visited Italian cities. It is a place for people who love cosmopolitan cities, from the fashion runways to the frescoes painted by the geniuses inside the churches. In Milan we find Da Vinci’s Last Supper, San Siro/Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Duomo’s statues, Alla Scala Theater, Sforza Castle and the famous Vittorio Emanuele's arcades, in Piazza Duomo, the world’s oldest shopping center. Also, Milan has lovely parks, great ice-cream shops and a renowned nightlife. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
